Boys GAA team put in performance of the season!
Match report:
St Joseph’s 1-7
O’Connell’s 1-7
The boys GAA team set out on their final league match vs close neighbours O’Connell’s at St Vincent’s GAA grounds.
Captained by Scott in 6th class the boys were motivated to give their very best in their final league match of the season.
The match was very end to end and tight at the start with St Joseph’s getting an early opening goal and a point before O’Connell’s fought back with a few scores to take a 2 point lead into half time with the scores at 1-3 to 1-1.
Super goalkeeper Jackson from 5th class made some incredible saves to keep St. Joseph’s in the game and with some beautiful scores from Bailey in 4th class, the boys kept fighting all the way through the 2nd half.
With only a minute left St Joseph’s went ahead by one point, only for a determined O’Connell’s to equalise with the final kick of the match from a 45 leaving the scores tied at 1-7 to 1-7.
We are extremely proud of the boys GAA campaign and would like to thank them for their brilliant effort, attitude and commitment all through this term!
Well done on a brilliant result boys!
