Match Report:
The boys set out on their league campaign today at the brilliant facilities provided by St Vincent’s GAA club.
St Joseph’s started the brighter going into an early 5 point lead through goals from Carter and some lovely points by Scott.
O’Toole’s responded with a lot of heart and kicked some great points to bring the game to a score of 1-3 to 0-5 for St Joseph’s at half time.
Soon into the second half, O’Tooles applied more pressure and kicked plenty of points unanswered before scoring what would be a crucial goal early on.
The St. Joseph’s Boys showed great fight being 5 points behind themselves at one stage to bring the match to a one point game coming to the last couple of minutes from great scores from Bailey and Scott again.
Unfortunately time wasn’t on the side of the boys who narrowly missed out in the end but should be proud of their performances right until the end.
The boys go again for another friendly match next Tuesday vs Raheny at 2pm at St Vincent’s before playing out their final 2 league matches before October.
